Were you looking for more information about Tourette Syndrome? Turett syndrome is a common misspelling of Tourette syndrome.
Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects males three to four times more than females. People with the condition have frequent tics that may include repetitive throat clearing, eye blinking, and grunting sounds. Symptoms of the disease, which are almost always first noticed in childhood, generally improve in the late teens and early 20s. As a result, some people may actually become symptom-free or no longer need medication for tic suppression. Although Tourette syndrome is generally lifelong and chronic, it is not a degenerative condition.
