Touretta Syndrome

Were you looking for more information about Tourette Syndrome? Touretta syndrome is a common misspelling of Tourette syndrome.

Tourette syndrome is a neurological disease characterized by tics (repetitive, stereotyped, involuntary movements and vocalizations). Early symptoms are almost always noticed first in childhood, with the average age of onset between seven and ten years. Studies suggest that the disorder is inherited, but more research is needed to find out which specific chromosomes and genes are involved. A Tourette syndrome diagnosis is made after verifying that the person has had both motor and vocal tics for at least one year.
