Sumatriptan Storage Methods

Sumatriptan should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture or heat. Sumatriptan tablets should be kept in an airtight container. Keep sumatriptan tablets in their original blister package until you need to use them.
 
Keep sumatriptan and all medications out of the reach of children.
 

Sumatriptan: What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

Sumatriptan is not intended to be taken on a regular basis. Sumatriptan should be taken only during a migraine headache.
 

Sumatriptan Strengths

Sumatriptan tablets are available in three strengths:
 
  • Sumatriptan 25 mg
  • Sumatriptan 50 mg
  • Sumatriptan 100 mg.
     
Sumatriptan nasal spray is available in two strengths:
 
  • Sumatriptan nasal spray 5 mg
  • Sumatriptan nasal spray 20 mg.
     
Sumatriptan injection is available in the following strengths:
 
  • Sumatriptan STATdose 4 mg
  • Sumatriptan STATdose 6 mg
  • Sumatriptan injection single-dose vial (6 mg per 0.5 mL).
     
Sumatriptan STATdose is an injection pen kit that comes with everything you need to inject sumatriptan.
 

Sumatriptan Generic

There is currently no generic sumatriptan licensed for sale.
