Drug Interactions With Sumatriptan

There are many sumatriptan drug interactions to be aware of. For example, taking sumatriptan along with certain antidepressants can cause a group of symptoms called serotonin syndrome. A few of these symptoms include confusion, hallucinations, diarrhea, and difficulty walking. Other drug interactions with sumatriptan can raise the level of sumatriptan in your blood or increase your risk of dangerous side effects, among other things. Ergot medications and triptans are also among the drugs that can potentially interact with sumatriptan.
