Rizatriptan is not approved for children and teens less than 18 years of age. One study of rizatriptan for migraines in adolescents ages 12 to 17 did not show that rizatriptan was effective for this age group. Talk with your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using rizatriptan to treat migraines in children and teens.
