Precautions and Warnings With Rizatriptan (Cont.)

Who Should Not Take Rizatriptan?

You should not take rizatriptan if you:
 

 

    • Bromocriptine (Parlodel®)
    • Dihydroergotamine (Migranal®)
    • Ergotamine (Bellamine S®, Cafergot®, Ergomar®)
    • Pergolide (Permax®). 

 

  • Have taken another triptan medication similar to rizatriptan within that past 24 hours. Some examples of other triptans include:

 

 

  • Have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the past two weeks. Some examples of MAOIs include:
