Parlodel Drug Interactions

If certain antibiotics or antidepressants are taken together with Parlodel, drug interactions could occur. Some interactions can reduce the effectiveness of the medications, while others may increase your risk for developing serious side effects. Other medicines that may lead to potentially dangerous Parlodel interactions include protease inhibitors, metoclopramide, nitrates, and ergot medications.

 

Parlodel Drug Interactions: An Overview

Parlodel® (bromocriptine mesylate) can potentially interact with several different medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to Parlodel interactions include:
 

 

 

 

 

  • Ergot medications, such as:

 

    • Dihydroergotamine (Migranal®)
    • Ergotamine (Bellamine S, Cafergot®, Ergomar®)
    • Pergolide (Permax®)

 

 

    • Isosorbide dinitrate (BiDil®, Dilatrate® SR, Isochron™, Isordil®)
    • Isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur®, Ismo®, Monoket®)
    • Nitroglycerin tablets or capsules (NitroQuick®, Nitrostat®, Nitro-Time®)
    • Nitroglycerin ointment (Nitro-Bid®)
    • Nitroglycerin patches (Minitran®, Nitrodisc®, Nitro-Dur®, Transderm-Nitro®, Transderm-NTG®)
    • Nitroglycerin spray (Nitrolingual®)
