Orap 1 Mg

Available by prescription only, Orap® (pimozide) comes as tablets that are taken one or more times a day to treat motor and verbal tics due to Tourette syndrome. It is reserved for use when other treatment has failed and when the tics are interfering with a person's development or daily life.
 
Orap comes in 1-mg and 2-mg strengths. The recommended starting dose for treating Tourette syndrome in adults is usually 1 mg to 2 mg a day, divided up throughout the day. For children, the recommended starting dosage is usually 0.05 mg per kg body weight (0.02 mg per lb) taken once daily at bedtime.
