Nuedexta Drug Interactions

Salmeterol
Taking Nuedexta with salmeterol can raise the level of salmeterol in your blood, increasing your risk for serious side effects. In general, these medications should not be used together.
 
Saxagliptin
Combining Nuedexta and saxagliptin may raise the level of saxagliptin in your blood, increasing your risk for saxagliptin side effects and low blood sugar levels. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you more closely, and may give you a lower saxagliptin dose.
 
Sibutramine
Taking Nuedexta with sibutramine can increase your risk for a serious reaction known as serotonin syndrome (see Nuedexta Warnings and Precautions for more information, including symptoms of serotonin syndrome). Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medications together. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any symptoms of serotonin syndrome.
 
Silodosin
Taking Nuedexta with silodosin can raise the level of silodosin in your blood, increasing your risk for serious side effects. In general, these medications should not be used together.
 
St. John's Wort
Taking Nuedexta with St. John's Wort can increase your risk for a serious reaction known as serotonin syndrome (see Nuedexta Warnings and Precautions for more information, including symptoms of serotonin syndrome). Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medications together. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any symptoms of serotonin syndrome.
 
Sucralfate
Taking Nuedexta with sucralfate may decrease the amount of Nuedexta absorbed into the body, which could make it less effective. Nuedexta should be taken at least two hours before or six hours after sucralfate.
