Lacosamide Drug Information
The prescription drug lacosamide (Vimpat®) is approved for a specific type of seizure (known medically as partial-onset seizures, partial seizures, or focal seizures). It is designed for use in combination with other medications and should not be taken alone.
Lacosamide comes in tablet form and is generally taken twice a day. An injectable version of the medication is also available for short-term use.
