Calcium
Calcium can interfere with the absorption of ethotoin into your bloodstream. Try not to take ethotoin and calcium products at the same time. Keep in mind that many antacids contain calcium.

Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitors
Combining ethotoin with a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor may increase the risk for bone problems, including osteomalacia and rickets. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these drugs together.

Chloramphenicol
Chloramphenicol may increase the level of ethotoin in the bloodstream, perhaps increasing the risk of side effects. Ethotoin may affect chloramphenicol levels unpredictably. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together, or before stopping one of these medications if you are taking them together.

Ketorolac
Ketorolac can make seizure medications less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking ketorolac with ethotoin.

Mefloquine
Mefloquine can make seizure medications less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking mefloquine with ethotoin.

Warfarin
Warfarin and ethotoin may interact unpredictably, perhaps increasing or decreasing the risk of bleeding. This combination may also increase the risk of ethotoin side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these drugs together, changing your dosage of either one, or stopping either of these medications if you had been taking them together.
