Ethosuximide should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Store the capsules in an airtight container.
Keep ethosuximide and all medications out of the reach of children.
If you do not take your ethosuximide as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
Currently, both brand-name and generic versions of ethosuximide are licensed for sale (see Generic Zarontin).
Currently, ethosuximide is made by Pfizer.
The capsules are available in one strength -- Ethosuximide 250 mg capsules. Ethosuximide syrup, containing 250 mg of ethosuximide per 5 mL (250 mg per teaspoonful), is also available. Brand-name ethosuximide syrup is raspberry flavored.
