Clobazam (
Onfi™) is a prescription medication approved to treat
seizures in people with
Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS). It is approved for use only along with other
seizure medications and can be used in adults and children as young as two years old.
Just like any medicine, clobazam may cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Common clobazam side effects include but are not limited to:
- Drowsiness
- Fever
- Lethargy
- Aggression.
