Bonine Uses
Can Children Use Bonine?
Bonine is approved for use in children as young as 12 years old. It is not approved for use in younger children. Your child's healthcare provider can recommend a better treatment option for motion sickness or vertigo for your child. Bonine for Kids (which contains cyclizine hydrochloride) is a good option for children ages six years and older.
Off-Label Uses for Bonine
On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Bonine for something other than the approved uses (this would be known as an "off-label" use). Using Bonine to treat nausea and vomiting due to other causes (such as morning sickness) is considered to be an off-label use (see Meclizine and Pregnancy for more information about using Bonine during pregnancy). Treating vertigo is another off-label use for this product.
